Cecil College’s run at a national championship ended tonight in Danville, Illinois as the normally hot-shooting Seahawks fell cold in the second half against Sullivan County Community College in a 90-79 loss.
The Generals were behind Cecil for the first half, but came out firing after the break. Sullivan quickly erased the Seahawks 5-point halftime margin and put the game out of reach.
Khalid Gates led the scoring for Cecil with 31 points in the loss, while the team shot 36.5% from the floor for the game.
